Universal Pictures - Kung Fu Panda 4 In Theaters March 8

Universal Pictures has recently released the official trailer for the 4th edition of its upcoming 3d animated movie "Kung Fu Panda"!

This spring, March 8 2024, comedy icon Jack Black returns to his role as Po, the world’s most unlikely kung fu master, for the first time in almost a decade with a hilarious new chapter in DreamWorks Animation’s popular action-comedy series Kung Fu Panda 4.

After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad fighting skills, Po the Dragon Warrior (Golden Globe nominee Jack Black) is finally called upon by fate… to take a break. More specifically, he is appointed spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace. As you can probably understand, this poses a number of obvious problems. Firstly, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the Paleo diet, and secondly, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can take up his new high office.

Worse, an evil, powerful sorceress has recently been spotted, Chameleon (Academy Award® winner Viola Davis), a tiny lizard who can transform into any creature, big or small. Chameleon has her greedy eye on Po’s Staff of Wisdom, which would give her the power to call back to the spirit world all the master villains Po has defeated. So Po is going to need some help. He finds it (somehow?) in the form of cunning, quick-witted thief Zhen (Golden Globe winner Awkwafina), a corset fox who gets on Po’s nerves but whose skills will prove invaluable. In order to protect the Valley of Peace from the Chameleon’s reptilian claws, the comedic duo must work together. In the process, Po will discover that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places.

The film is voiced by returning stars Academy Award® winner Dustin Hoffman as kung fu master Shifu, James Hong as Po’s adoptive father Mr. Ping, Academy Award® nominee Bryan Cranston as Po’s biological father Li, and Emmy Award nominee Ian McShane as Tai Lung, Shifu’s former student and nemesis. Oscar® winner Ke Huy Quan joins the cast as the new character Han, the leader of the gang of thieves.

Kung Fu Panda 4 is directed by Mike Mitchell (DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls, Shrek Forever After) and produced by Rebecca Huntley (DreamWorks Animation’s The Bad Guys). The film is co-directed by Stephanie Ma Stine (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power). The Academy Award®-nominated first installment, Kung Fu Panda, became DreamWorks Animation’s highest-grossing original animated film in 2008 and launched a franchise that has grossed more than $1.8 billion worldwide at the box office.
